Information & Referral
We have information about local groups, community organisations and government agencies that service our local area.
Our trained volunteer staff can assist with enquiries about things like:
- Links to family supports (e.g. counselling)
- Links to emergency relief (e.g. food)
- Support groups (e.g. Grandparents, Health and Well Being)
- Courses and workshops
- Housing Services
- Connect to activities and social events
Community Development (CDW)
This program works with the local community to build capacity and community capital through initiatives, infrastructure, partnerships, connections and networks.
This program is offering participants the opportunity to gain a Certificate III qualification in their chosen field.
We accept applications for Cert III training from participants in our local area – this includes Deception Bay, Rothwell, Kippa-Ring, Redcliffe, Clontarf, North Lakes, Griffin, Murrumba Downs, Kallangur, Dakabin, Narangba, Burpengary, Morayfield and Caboolture and their surrounds.
Outreach Families Program (OFP)
This program aims to improve the capacity of vulnerable families and caregivers to respond appropriately to children’s needs for care, development and safety by providing support in their parenting role.
For Families in Neighbourhoods (FFIN)
This program aims to develop and deliver affordable and accessible preventative and early intervention programs. These include counselling and social connection activities.
Moreton Bay Community Consortium
We work with other agencies in our region to deliver counselling, workshops and courses to all members of the public over the age of 18. Our service offers face to face counselling for individuals and couples. Counselling is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.
A range of other services are available at the neighbourhood centre including:
School holiday programs, children’s dance and drama group, choir, Immunisation clinic, Tax Help and Centrelink
