There are many great activities and groups in our area. We have listed a few below, but if you know of any others, please let us know so that we can include them.
Men’s Shed – Deception Bay
A place for blokes to get together and do bloke stuff. It could be a hobby or interest, that you always wanted to do. Using your own skills or sharing your skills with other blokes.
Making useful items for yourself or for someone else in the community. Having a good “chin wag” about bloke stuff. Making new friends and doing enjoyable activities that get you out and about.
A support network for local men to meet as a social outlet, to do practical things such as woodwork or similar items and promote good physical and emotional health.
If you’re a retiree or a young bloke, a dad raising a family or living on your own or just at a loose end, come and be a part of our local community Men’s Shed. It could be the very thing you’re looking for. We have the shed, you have the idea. So come and have a chat about it.

A Community Engagement activity for Pacific Islander families with young children.This is for parents of with young children (under 5 years old) to be able to connect with other Pacific Islander families and link with representatives of their community.

This playgroup for Pacific Islander children and parents is held at Deception Bay North State School. The playgroup aims to build confidence around parenting and connects parents to the school.
