  • (NILS)No Interest Loan Scheme offers people on low incomes safe, fair and affordable loans for fridges, washing machines and furniture, as well as education and medical expenses.

Harmony Choir

Every Tuesday, 5.30pm to 7.00pm (except school holidays)

Is a group of community members aged 17+ who come together to sing weeklyChoir page and perform at community events.

The known benefits of singing in a choir are enormous and include lowered feelings of social isolation, depression and anxiety, increased self confidence and well being and social friendship networks. Many choir members have formed supportive friendships within the choir. There is also increased social capital through participation in social cultural and community activities.

Children’s Dance Group (6 to 12 years)

  • Every Monday from 4.00pm to 5.00pm (10-12 years)
  • Every Friday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm (6-10 years)
  • school term only

The Neighbourhood Centre offers FREE dance classes for children between the ages of 6 – 12 years.

Have fun and make new friends all the while learning new talents or developing the ones already there.

Children’s Drama Group

Children 6-12 years. Every  Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3.30pm to 4.30pm

This is an opportunity for your son or daughter to learn new skillmaskss and have some fun. Performing in front of an audience has a positive affect on children allowing them to be creative, whilst increasing their self-esteem and confidence.

The Neighbourhood Centre offers FREE drama classes for children between the ages of 6 – 12 years.

‘My Time’ Grandparents Group

Fortnightly on a Monday between 12.30pm- 2.30pmyoung grandparent

Meets regularly at the Neighbourhood Centre and provides support for all Grandparents who are full time carers of their grandchildren.

The Grandparents group provides the opportunity to connect socially with other Grandparents and share information and offer support.

Guest speakers provide community information and resources at the meetings. The group also attends cultural events and social activities in the Moreton Bay Region.
